Josh Owen, founder of War and Peace K9, has over three decades of dog training knowledge and experience. With a family history in law enforcement and working police canines, his passion began at the young age of sixteen. Since then, he has worked with a wide variety of breeds in numerous specialized fields. Josh’s extensive background includes training and handling detection dogs, protection dogs, search and rescue (SAR) dogs, cadaver dogs and hunting dogs. He is a judge and decoy for the PPD sport and a Certified CGC Evaluator. His expertise in everything from basic to advanced obedience, has honed his skills in creating a well-trained, reliable, and confident dogs across a wide range of disciplines.
Josh focuses on fostering harmony between dogs and their owners, bringing his depth of knowledge and commitment to excellence to every training session. He is motivated by the joy of bringing balanced and fulfilled relationships with their canine companions.
Working alongside him on their seven acre farm, his wife Dana is committed to growing the depth of her dog training knowledge. They train dogs the way families live - with more than one person involved. Your dog learns consistency, structure, and responsiveness to both male and female energy, making the transition home smoother and more successful.
